Before you begin the enrollment process, we encourage you to learn as much as possible about our unique educational philosophy. This website offers some excellent information, and you can find numerous videos, blogs, and articles online discussing Sudbury schools and how they work. You are certainly welcome to contact us at any time with questions or even just to get more information about the school.

View the Wichita Sudbury School Student Handbook.

Wichita Sudbury School has open admissions, accepting all applicants who have the capacity to fully participate in the school’s program as self-directed, autonomous members of the school community. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, religion or religious creed, sex or gender, gender identity and/or expression, or sexual orientation. Our enrollment procedure is designed to give you a strong sense of Subdury and what we’re all about, in three easy steps:

A. The Interview

First, we schedule an interview with the potential student and at least one parent or guardian (preferably all adults that the child lives with). This is an opportunity for the family to ask questions and to ascertain that everyone is aware of the basic Sudbury philosophy. Request an interview and then fill out the Parent and Student Questionnaires and bring them to the interview.

B. Visiting Week

After the interview, the family will arrange for a week of visitation for the child to experience Wichita Sudbury School as a full-time student and test whether the school is a good fit. There is a non-refundable $50 for Visiting Week that can be applied to the first month’s tuition. You can print the Visiting Week Enrollment Form, fill it out, and bring it in with your payment.

C. Enrollment

After a week at Wichita Sudbury, the student can enroll full-time. Print out the Enrollment Packet and bring it in with your deposit and first tuition payment.
